Hello Kitty Cafe', Hongik University, Seoul

Hello peeps~

So today is pinky kitty day. I'm not sure why I have this obsession
with Hello Kitty when I'm so scared of cats. But one thing for sure this kitty don't bite. Ngeh~

This is basically what we had. I had my matcha latte and the rest had their cafe'
Oya, & we had waffle too. As expected, commercial restaurant like this
is the same as those in Malaysia. Nice look, lack taste.
But, what the hell, I had so much fun snapping pictures.

Behind me is a clothing model (kot)..
She's been trying out new dresses, pose for a shot and rewind.
Owh well, at least I have her behind before she gets famous (Bahahahahah~~)

Halal Korea 4 ~ Bimbimbap, Myeong-Dong

Ok, next review will be this famous bimbimbap
(or nasi campur je pun in Malay). Kahkahkah~

But unfortunately, I forgot the restaurant's name.
the only thing that i can recall is that this place is located
on top of a mart. (so not helping....sorry)

Ok, as you can see. The place is not too extravagant nor attractive
much but warm enuf and inviting.

They served almost all type of bimbimbap. But only a few yg boleh makan.
So it's either you have Tuna or Octopus. As you seen in most korean dramas,
the way to eat this delicacy is to mix the rice into the big bowl full of side dishes.
Korean eat  big. I mean BIG!

The portion was huge I barely finish but because
mummy always says not to waste food, I finished them all.
(buuurrrppp) Alhamdulilah

So, the dish cost around 15,000 to 20,000won each
which equivalent to 40-60rgt

Ok, one more dish that I want to introduce you guys is this yummy Pajeon.
aka, Korean pancake.Quite expensive but a must to try!

Till then, bye~

Halal Food in Korea: Day 3. Sinchon's Grilled Fish

GOSAMI Grilled Fish Restaurant. (Not fish head restaurant ya!)

This restaurant has been a favorite of those who ever stepped their feet on the Kimchi Land
including Mua! (see below)

From all the dishes, well, exclude the grilled fish which is DA boom!!!
I personally love this fresh raw squid. (check out pix below)
We requested for refill quite number of times. coz it's free!!
They were just out of this world. Definitely a must taste dish when in Korea.

My second favorite will be this dish below. Spicy squid, so taste like home.

& my 3rd personal favorite is this stew. Not sure what's it called,
but it is load with abundance of flavour from the sea. Mix together with soft beancurd
and clams. Yumm~

Oya, not to mention, they provide salad for wrap & it's a free refill side dish.
Much love for free food! yey!!

Halal Food in Korea: Lunch @ Naminara Republic

Welcome to Naminara Republic!

Nowadays, Korean government has been really conscious of Muslim tourist
from all over the world visiting Korea.

Hence, they set up quiet a number of facilities which is Muslim-friendly.
One of them is Halal food.
Let's look at one cafe must visit in Nami Island.

Yeonga Jiga Cafe'

The restaurant served the famous "Nasi Goncang"
Literally, you need to shake them before dining in.

So, the rice is served in a lunch box, each set content korean rice, raw egg, kimchi and tuna. The box is extremely hot so this will be the tools that they provide for customer to shake their box, a gloves. When you think the egg is cooked and properly mixed with other ingredients, you are ready to dig in!

It cost us 5,000 won equivalent to 15 ringgit malaysia for this meal each.

 Taraaaa!!!!!!!

Halal Food in Korea: 1st meal. Yoogane, MyeongDong

After a 7 hours flite, we finally arrived in the land of Kimchi.
So the first thing we did was eat!

The first meal we tried when in Korea was Octopus Korean Kimchi fried rice

The restaurant is called Yoogane, situated in MyeongDong.
the busiest and most happening street in Seoul.

You guys can check the menu below;

The restaurant mainly served everything. So for those traveling
without a guide who do not know the permissible, better ask as much as you can.

It was great having a friend that can converse in korean,
it makes a lot of difference. However if you don't have anyone to assist you, No worries,
Fortunately the menu is also provided with English translation on it's menu along with the ingredients
this helps a lot, Right? Of course it is.

We had Marinated seafood fried rice which a mix of octopus strips,
kimchi cabbage, korean paste, seaweed, korean rice and lots of vegies. Which cost us 5,000 won
or equivalent to 150 ringgit malaysia for 4. Not bad for a whole pan full of fried rice
and unlimited refill of side dishes (kimchi radish, cabbage, kimchi soup and drinks)

What's nice about korean so called fast food, IS,
they cook for you live! It's a new experience as we don't have stuff like that.
or do we?

*please ignore the annoying faces of ours
